Caroline Pecore

Co-Founder & Chef

Caroline is a student at Menlo-Atherton High School in Menlo Park, California. She was diagnosed with celiac disease in eighth grade. Caroline has been teaching online cooking classes for three years. In her free time, she enjoys drawing, reading, playing piano, rowing, and biking.

Hi! My name is Caroline. I am a junior in high school and was diagnosed with Celiac disease four years ago. At the beginning of the pandemic, my friend Paloma Raffle and I started virtual gluten-free cooking classes for with the goal of teaching kids with celiac that they don't have to miss out on eating delicious food! Since then we’ve taught over 500 kids and collaborated with several nonprofit organizations. We are working to continue to expand into the gluten-free community. Our favorite part of teaching the classes is talking with the kids about shared gluten-free experiences in their everyday lives. Because the classes are virtual, students come from all over the country so chatting about the weather can actually be pretty interesting too!
